Attract, Don't Chase
My New Philosophy on Life
The Law of Attraction is a philosophy that claim’s that your thoughts determine your reality.
If you’d asked me 3 months ago whether I believed in this, I would’ve been skeptical.
But ask me now…
And I would 100% agree.
Now, let me clarify—I'm NOT going all woo-woo.
I've simply noticed an undeniable pattern in my life
When I chase something, I end up repelling it.
This can be applied to almost every facet of my life, including, but not limited to:
Money
Happiness
Relationships
Physical health is a bit more complex. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle has always made me feel my best, so there's a nuance here I don't fully understand yet.
Now is probably a good time to define what “chasing” and “attracting” mean to me in this context.
Chasing:
The active pursuit (physical, and mental) of something you currently lack with little focus on the process it will take to get there.
Attracting:
The passive process of manifesting desired outcomes by aligning thoughts, beliefs, and actions.
Now…
This isn’t to say that you can just sit on your ass, manifest 1 million dollars and it’ll magically appear in your lap wrapped with a ribbon and bouquet of flowers.
What I'm trying to say, and what I’m aiming for is to believe that my daily actions and thoughts are leading me toward my desired outcomes.
It’s the alignment of these thoughts, beliefs, and actions that’s crucial.
For much of my life, I chased things without this alignment.
For instance:
I pursued relationships that I knew weren’t good for me.
I pursued money I didn't feel worthy of or didn’t have the skills to obtain.
I pursued better mental health, all while knowing that the actions I was taking weren’t doing anything to get me any closer to it.
What have these resulted in?
Two words…
And mind my French.
Fuck. All.
Now that I’ve gotten all of that out of my system, it’s time to lighten the mood a bit.
Over recent months, and more specifically, this past month I’ve found an alignment that has reaped great results.
I’ve acquired a high-value and marketable skillset
I’ve acquired a high level of belief in myself
I’ve acquired a positive, forward-thinking mindset
I’ve acquired a network of people who support all three of these factors
What has this resulted in?
The first sniff of success in my online business.
Or to be more specific…
In just over 20 days, I've attracted 550+ QUALITY followers on Twitter + 2 clients.
Now to cut through the woo-woo-ness, and to put what I’ve been saying into ONE actionable step, this is how you can stop chasing, and start attracting:
Focus on the process, not the outcome:
Instead of focusing on the desired outcome (money, happiness, etc), focus on the process it will take to get there.
For me, this included:
Networking
Skill acquisition
Executing these skills
Documenting the journey
Think of it this way…
Instead of putting all of your energy into worrying about the outcome, why not spend that energy acquiring the necessary skills to get there?
This is a realization I had about a month ago.
It hit me like a ton of bricks.
My whole life I’d been focused on the outcome, and paid little attention to the process.
The ONLY thing you can control is the process.
Forget about the outcome, that will sort itself out.
So, how did this help me land clients?
Well…
I spent my time acquiring skills, networking with other people, and documenting what I was learning (on Twitter)
Doing this ATTRACTED these people to me because they saw me as knowledgeable in something that they weren’t.
This is the beauty of learning and documenting.
You don’t have to be an expert.
You only have to be one or two steps ahead of someone and they will see you as an authority.
You aren’t going to achieve this by posting platitudes, and throwing up hail marys - praying that Elon is magically going to drop some Dogecoin into your Ethereum wallet.
This isn’t how this shit works.
I’d urge people to start learning new skills, then talk about whatever they’re learning on any medium of choice (preferably Twitter, its hella easy to get eyes on your content)
This is how you ATTRACT a quality audience and potential clients.
But this can also be applied to any aspect of your life.
If you’re trying to get jacked, stop thinking “When am I going to get jacked” or “Why am I not jacked yet?”
Instead - focus on the daily processes you have to undertake that will result in you being jacked.
Doing this will get rid of any negativity flowing through your mind and make the process that much easier, and that much more enjoyable, resulting in better inputs, which results in better outcomes.
But in order for this to work, you have to TRUST THE PROCESS.
Distrust in the process causes a misalignment in your beliefs, thoughts, and actions.
And this is a BIG no-no.
If you aren’t seeing the results you desire, I’d urge you to implement what I’ve just laid out for you.
It’s worked wonders for me, and I’m sure it’ll do the same for you.
Sidenote:
I’ve done a rebrand of my Twitter account based on what I’ve just discussed in this Newsletter.
My mantra going forward is “Become Magnetic”.
I’d love some feedback on my rebranding if anyone has any!
And finally…
